Pablo Martínez Flamenco-Jazz Band is a new musical proposal born in 2013 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where its five components met and gathered their musical concerns to shape the compositions of their leader, the versatile Spanish musician Pablo Martínez, connoisseur of the flamenco tradition.
Despite his youth, Martínez has worked with great musicians from the world of flamenco such as Jorge Pardo, best European jazz musician 2012 for the Académie du jazz de France, and Josemi Carmona, best guitarist of his generation according to Paco de Lucía. This has led him to play in important festivals in Europe, such as the North Sea Jazz Festival 2013 and 2015 and the Madrid Jazz Festival 2011, as well as the recording of the record Footprints (Cabra Road, 2012) by Jorge Pardo.
