Izis was born  in San Juan Puerto Rico, after that with his family he traveled the world since his father stood out in the armed forces of the United States, US ARMY.


From an early age he began his musical career playing the flute and singing in the church choir, thus discovering his talent for singing and at a very early age he obtained a scholarship to study music. For his parents it was not a surprise since the Nieves family is a very prominent one in the artistic environment, his modest uncle Nieves is an internationally recognized artist and composer.


​The Puerto Rican, who has shared the stage with artists such as Cita Rodriguez, Rico Walker, Mario Ortiz Jr, Tito Puente Jr., Maelo Ruiz and Paquito Guzman, among others, has opened a stage for stars such as Gilberto Santa Rosa and Víctor Manuelle, in addition to having Recorded in duo with the renowned singer Nino Segarra the song Tratando.


Izis articulates a musical discourse with Salsa for the dancer as the predominant flag. His voice, with a deep timbre, can cope with all the rhythmic times of the Afro Cuban rhythms and, naturally, Borincanos.
